AuraDome vs. LUFAMAX1800: Which Full-Body Panel Fits Your Space?

Two of Lufalight's most popular full-body devices take completely different approaches to the same goal: covering a large area of your body with red and near-infrared light in a single session. The AuraDome wraps light around you in a hands-free arch, while the LUFAMAX1800 is a flat, wall-mountable panel built for maximum output. Here's how they actually compare.

What's the core design difference?
The AuraDome is an arch-shaped dome you sit or lie under — it's designed for hands-free sessions where you don't have to hold or position a panel at all, and it includes a memory function that recalls your last-used mode. The LUFAMAX1800 is a large flat panel, closer to the format most people picture when they think "light therapy panel" — you stand or sit in front of it, and it covers a wide section of your body at once rather than wrapping around it.
How do the wavelengths and output compare?
The AuraDome runs four wavelengths (415, 590, 630, and 850nm) across 240 LEDs at 40W, with irradiance rated at 50+ mW/cm² — the broader wavelength spread is aimed at covering skin-focused use cases (face, scalp) in addition to general full-body sessions. The LUFAMAX1800 is a higher-output, two-wavelength panel (660 and 850nm) built around 1,800W of dual-chip LED power, delivering roughly 91 × 41.2cm of coverage per session aimed more squarely at muscle recovery, athletic use, and larger-area full-body sessions.

Which one fits a smaller space better?
The AuraDome's arch design has a smaller footprint and folds into a more compact shape between sessions, which tends to suit apartments, shared living spaces, or anyone who doesn't want a large panel permanently set up in a room. The LUFAMAX1800 is a larger, flatter unit that's typically mounted to a wall or set on a stand — it needs more dedicated space but doesn't require you to climb into or under anything.
What about hands-free use versus session flexibility?
If hands-free, "just sit back and relax" sessions matter most to you, the AuraDome's dome shape and included remote control are built specifically for that. If you want the flexibility to treat different body heights and areas by simply repositioning yourself in front of a flat panel — or you're using it for broader muscle-recovery sessions covering your back, shoulders, and core at once — the LUFAMAX1800's layout is more purpose-built for that kind of use.
Price and warranty, side by side
AuraDome — 1-Year Warranty, 4 wavelengths, hands-free arch design, smaller footprint.
LUFAMAX1800 — 3-Year Warranty, 1,800W dual-chip output, 60-day return window, larger flat-panel coverage.
Both are FDA-registered general wellness devices, manufactured under MDSAP and ISO 13485 quality systems, with Health Canada MDL listing applicable where required for Canadian sales. Neither is a medical device, and neither is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
Quick decision checklist
Tight on space or want a hands-free, sit-back session → AuraDome.
Want maximum output for muscle recovery or athletic use across a large area → LUFAMAX1800.
Interested in skin-focused wavelengths (415/590/630nm) alongside red/NIR → AuraDome.
Prefer a longer warranty window on a higher-output investment → LUFAMAX1800.
